Collage, whose name comes from the French word «coller» (to glue), is an artistic technique that consists of joining or layering diverse materials on a surface to form a composition. In other words, a visual representation created from the combination of different shapes, materials, and sources, creating a new whole. A collage can include newspaper clippings, ribbons, pieces of colored or handmade paper, fragments of other works of art, photographs, etc., glued to a surface.
